Planning
This division provides professional planning expertise to the Ocala City Council, Planning & Zoning Commission, the Board of Adjustment, the Ocala Historic Preservation Advisory Board, the Community Redevelopment Area Advisory Committees, and the Ocala Tree Commission.
In 2010, the City Council adopted a vision (Ocala 2035 Vision) plan that serves as a guide for planning and development in the City.
NOTE DEADLINES:
All application requests requiring action by the Planning & Zoning Commission (P&Z) or Zoning Board of Adjustment (BoA) shall be submitted no later than 45 days prior the hearing (see schedule below). Incomplete applications will not be processed until all required information is submitted. Staff may request additional information to properly review any request.
