Peter Lee became an Assistant City Manager in July 2021 and was appointed City Manager in September 2022. In this role, Peter is responsible for the entire city organization, except for the Police Department.

Before his City Manager status, Lee held several key roles within the organization, including Planning Director for the city’s Growth Management department.  While serving as an Assistant City Manager, he had oversight for the Ocala International Airport, Growth Management, and Community Development Services.  

Lee has over 30 years’ experience in planning and development, working in the public and private sectors. He previously worked for the City from 1994 to 2004, returning in 2009.
