Ken Whitehead became an Assistant City Manager in July 2015. He is responsible for the operations of Fleet and Facilities Management, Public Works, Recreation and Parks, and Engineering & Water Resources.

Mr. Whitehead has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy and a Master’s Degree in Construction and Engineering Management from the University of Florida.

Mr. Whitehead has 33 years of leadership and engineering experience. He joined the City in July 2015. Prior to that, he served as the Public Works and Transportation Managing Director for Eagle County, Colorado for five years, Solid Waste Director for Marion County for seven years, Solid Waste Director for Putnam County, Florida for six years, as a consultant for 10 years, and with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for five years.
