The Biennial Ocala Outdoor Sculpture competition, features artists from across North America. A selection jury, comprised of local community stake holders, art organization representatives, and artists, selected ten sculptures for a 22-month exhibit that spans across 45-acres of green space in downtown Ocala.

Applications for the 7th Biennial Ocala Outdoor Sculpture Competition
are closed for the 2024-2026 season.

Each selected artist will receive a $2,000 honorarium. A professional in the arts field, will select Best in Show, Second Place, and Honorable Mention at the conclusion of the Tuscawilla Sculpture Stroll on Saturday, February 24, 2024. Selection in these categories will include a cash prize.

Best in Show: $2,000

2nd Place: $1,000

Honorable Mention: $500

People’s Choice: $500

The ten jury-selected sculptures will be installed between January 8 – 19, 2024 at Tuscawilla Park and will be on display until January 2026. The Ocala Outdoor Sculpture Competition is accompanied by a scavenger hunt, catalogue and an online and mobile device tour as well as coverage in other media outlets. The public is invited to attend two events to welcome the sculptures to Ocala.  BOBA (Beginning of Bolted Art), a paid brunch, and the Tuscawilla Park Sculpture Stroll, a free community event, on Saturday, February 24, 2024.  We encourage the community to come and enjoy the tours, live entertainment, free art activities and vote for your favorite sculpture to win the People’s Choice Award.
