Ocala Fire Rescue (OFR) is ready to stomp out opiate tragedies. To help the community cope with the current opiate abuse crisis, OFR has created an Opiate Tragedy Prevention Program (OTPP). The goal of the OTPP is to offer follow-up visits and resource referrals to opiate abuse victims and their families.
Who should be referred to the program?
Any patients, or families and friends of patients:
- Who reside in Marion county and are, or have been, affected by opiate abuse.
- Present during a 9-1-1 call that has required the use of Narcan.
How does the Opiate Tragedy Prevention Program (OTPP) work?
- Complete the form below to request aid.
- Await a call to schedule an in-home visit.
Once a visit is scheduled, a paramedic will visit your home to complete an assessment, deliver Narcan and offer access to community programs including substance abuse counseling, rehabilitation and support services.
We hope this program will make us more effective in the fight against opiate abuse. With your help, we can put an end to this epidemic.
