The Capital Projects Division has brought the benefit of Project Management to the construction phase of City projects.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Budgeting
• Scheduling
• Inspection
• Contractor Payment

The division insures that all necessary permits, warranties, and drawings are in place prior to final payment to the contractor. Large projects, those with more than one scope of work, are coordinated and inspected by this division also.

This division handles almost all of the City’s construction projects. Typically, the Utilities department will handle electric projects if they are not part of a larger construction project. If you want to know more about Ocala Electric Utility projects.
