OCALA, Fla. (Sept. 10, 2021) – The City of Ocala, through its Cultural Arts and Sciences Division, announces Timothy Dygert will begin work on four sports orb installations Sept. 10, 2021.
In addition to the City’s Tennis Ball, currently located at the Fort King Tennis Center, Dygert will be adding a basketball, volleyball, soccer ball and softball to the public art collection. The orbs will be placed around Recreation and Parks sports fields. Tennis Ball will be refreshed as well.
Dygert is the owner of Dygert Design, LLC in Gainesville, FL. The company has focused on scenic design and theatre fabrication for over thirty years. He also works as a preparator and installation coordinator for the Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art. He has overseen the completion of over 600 live house, touring, event, commercial and educational productions.
