OCALA, Fla. (Oct. 16, 2024) – The City of Ocala’s Economic Development and Cultural Arts Division will unveil the new mural design for the Downtown Ground Storage Water Tank on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at the Downtown Ocala Market (403 SE Osceola Ave.). This event serves as a prelude to the annual Ocala Arts Festival, organized by Fine Arts for Ocala (FAFO). 

The event is free and open to the public. The winning mural design, selected through a public call to artists, will be unveiled along with the artist behind the creation. 

After the unveiling, attendees are invited to participate in our Community Brush Bash, an interactive opportunity for residents to contribute to the mural and “leave their mark” by splattering paint on the water tank.

This mural was funded in part and made possible through support from partners including FAFO, the Florida Wildlife Corridor Foundation, and Ocala Main Street.
